Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Pearl Veterinary Group is the first veterinary practice in Shropshire to be regularly visited by a dedicated animal MRI unit. The mobile MRI unit is provided in association with Burgess Diagnostics and is sited at Shrewsbury Pet Hospital once a month.

MRI scans produce incredibly clear pictures of the inside of animals, allowing areas to be visualised that we were previously unable to see. This means that conditions can now be diagnosed that could not be seen before, especially brain and spinal cord problems.
The MRI unit is available to all pets in the area (not just patients of Pearl Veterinary Group) and if you feel that your pet may benefit from this facility please discuss a referral to us with your veterinary surgeon.

The next MRI scanning day at Shrewsbury Pet Hospital will be on Thursday 14th August 2008
